I’m in the market for a quality headset. A headset is something thats been around for a long time and I don’t want to make a purchase that’s completely outrageous because the market demand for headsets has gone up do to the ease of online gaming and the increase of people using video conferencing tools like Skype. That said, I want a good one, but don’t feel it’s necessary to pay for technology that has existed for a long time.
That brings me to the reason I’m writing this blog post. I want to ‘log’ my findings as I read up on the technology, the companies that sell them, and the compatibility they have with all the gadgets I have. For example, if I get a quality headset with a microphone will I be able to use it with my laptop, game console, cell phone and work phone? The laptop has USB, the game console has USB, the cell phone has blue tooth and the work phone has an rj11 connector. The one that I saw in best buy today is made by turtlebeach; the “ear force dpx21″.
